ABOUT HANGING LAKE ADVENTURE CO-OP

Glenwood Springs, and the great Roaring Fork Valley, is a truly special place. As lifetime locals, it is our home and we love it.

Valley wide, the recreational opportunities are incredibly diverse, the natural landscapes are breathtaking, and the individual people and rich cultures continually add to the history and uniqueness of this place.  We feel fortunate and appreciative of everything Glenwood Springs and the valley offers, and we enjoy being able to share it with you.

It is from this place that Hanging Lake Adventure Co-op was born.  With nearly 50 years of experience in owning and operating multiple  adventure and activity companies in Glenwood Springs, we have learned one very important lesson: Be passionate about what you do and remain humble about the fact that you cannot do everything alone.

What do we mean by this? Take a rafting company, for example.  With proper training, knowledge, experience, etc., that rafting company and its staff should be incredibly skilled at offering safe, fun, and memorable rafting trips. Now, the same goes for a climbing company, a fly fishing company, a jeeping company, etc.  It’s obvious that one individual person cannot become wholly proficient as a raft guide, a climbing guide, a jeep tour guide, and later a fly fishing guide. It is simply impossible.  The skills are too diverse, the need for experience and repetition in perfecting any one of these abilities, too limiting for that kind of diversification.

Quality and professionalism are crafted when we repeat and improve an activity continuously.  As a guide, it is important to focus on a  specific activity, as a slight tweak here and a little more focus there helps the individual develop and grow into a true professional.  This, in turn, provides the guest with the ultimate reward, a five star experience with memories that last a lifetime.  For you, these are the moments that make a vacation perfect.

So, this is why we are a Co-op.  As a co-op, we can partner with the best adventure and activity providers and professionals in the area.  These companies and their employees have, year after year, proven that they provide an absolute five star service.  They remain passionate and dedicated to the craft... and importantly, willing to share their knowledge and passion with you.

So join us, the Hanging Lake Adventure Co-op.  We are lifetime locals who are happy to share Glenwood Springs and the Roaring Fork Valley with you.
