RAFT & KAYAK ADVENTURE IS AN UPGRADE TO OUR MOST POPULAR RAFTING ADVENTURE

Includes Shoshone Rapids in a raft with one of our guides. Jump into an inflatable kayak at Grizzly Creek and tag along through Glenwood Canyon for the rest of the trip. Must be 15 years or older, or be accompanied by an adult, for the kayaking portion.

Mirroring the Half Day Rafting Adventure, the Raft & Kayak Adventure begins with an exhilarating 1.5 mile descent through the action filled and continuous Class III Shoshone Rapids with a guide in a raft. From Grizzly Creek the trip transitions into an inflatable kayak for the remaining 10 miles. This experience involves a beautiful float with intermittent splashes and occasional Class II-III waves, guiding adventurers through the 1500' walls of Glenwood Canyon and concluding in Glenwood Springs. Encompassing over 12 miles of river, the Raft & Kayak Adventure ensures a perfect blend of whitewater thrills, stunning scenery, and moments of relaxation, truly providing something for everyone. Along several sections of the trip, participants can even choose to swim alongside the raft during the many perfectly warm summer days.

We strongly recommend this trip if you are wanting more independence and adventure over the Half Day Adventure.  Participants begin in a raft from the Shoshone Boat Ramp to the Grizzly Creek Boat Ramp, offering the excitement of the Shoshone Rapids and the thrill of Class III whitewater.  Once at Grizzly Creek, you then jump into an inflatable kayak (one person and two person options) and continue the remaining 10 miles downstream while still in the comfort of having the river guides in close proximity.  Families and groups do combined this trip with the Half Day Adventure, providing yet another way to expand everyones experience.

This trip begins at the Shoshone Rapids (an app. 2 mile Class III to III+ section on the Colorado River) then continues downriver for approximately 12 miles (average flows), ending at the Blue Sky Rafting private boat ramp in West Glenwood Springs.

15 years for single kayak / 8 years with guardian for double kayak (water level & experience dependent).
