In sync with the exhilarating Half Day Rafting Adventure, the Private Half Day Rafting Trip kicks off with a thrilling 1.5-mile descent through the dynamic Class III Shoshone Rapids, guided by a seasoned professional. Transitioning from Grizzly Creek, the journey transforms into a scenic float for the remaining 10 miles. This phase unveils a picturesque section of the Colorado River, adorned with intermittent splashes and occasional Class II-III waves, escorting adventurers through the towering 1500' walls of Glenwood Canyon and concluding in Glenwood Springs. Spanning over 12 miles of river, the Private Half Day Rafting Trip guarantees a harmonious blend of whitewater excitement, breathtaking scenery, and moments of relaxation. Throughout various sections of the trip, participants have the option to swim alongside the raft, an enticing prospect on the sun-drenched summer days. Much like the Half Day Adventure, this trip provides the perfect balance between enjoyable Class III rapids and scenic float in the heart of the Glenwood Canyon on the Colorado River with the added benefit of personalizing to best meet your desires.  Operated separately, the “FULLY PRIVATE TRIP” option ensures that your group will receive an personal pre-trip orientation, as well as a personal driver, guide, and photographer.  Your professional and experienced guide will make the trip fun, informative, and safe. Some limitations do exist due to USFS, BLM and CPW regulations, but Hanging Lake Adventure Co-op and Blue Sky Rafting will do everything possible to make this a personalized bucket list experience.

This trip begins at the Shoshone Rapids (an app. 2 mile Class III to III+ section on the Colorado River) then continues downriver for approximately 12 miles (average flows), ending at the Blue Sky Rafting private boat ramp in West Glenwood Springs.

Price is per boat with a maximum of 8 people per boat.
