Half Day Rafting Adventure
Embarking on the Half Day Rafting Adventure with Hanging Lake Adventure Co-op and our partners Blue Sky Rafting & Glenwood Canyon Rafting, participants have the opportunity to choose from five separate meeting times daily, ensuring that your river adventure fits perfectly into your desired schedule. The Half Day Rafting Adventure begins with an exhilarating 1.5 mile descent through the action filled and continuous Class III Shoshone Rapids. From Grizzly Creek the trip transitions into a more leisurely and scenic section of the river, the experience involves a beautiful float with intermittent splashes and occasional Class II-III waves, guiding adventurers through the 1500′ walls of Glenwood Canyon and concluding in Glenwood Springs. Encompassing over 12 miles of river, the Half Day Rafting Adventure ensures a perfect blend of whitewater thrills, stunning scenery, and moments of relaxation, truly providing something for everyone. Along several sections of the trip, participants can even choose to swim alongside the raft during the many perfectly warm summer days.

Mild & Scenic Raft Trip
Commencing just bellow the Shoshone Rapids, the Mild & Scenic Half Day Trip embarks from Grizzly Creek, offering a delightful 10-mile scenic float. Meandering through a captivating stretch of the Colorado River, this experience unveils intermittent splashes and occasional Class II waves, guiding adventurers through the towering 1500′ walls of Glenwood Canyon before culminating in Glenwood Springs. Tailored for those seeking a serene yet visually stunning river excursion, this trip prioritizes relaxation, wildlife, and bird sighting opportunities. Indulge in the tranquil beauty of the river, providing the perfect escape for those yearning for a calming and picturesque river adventure.
Please Note: This trip is run in conjunction with the Half Day Rafting Adventure, allowing the adventure seekers within each group the opportunity to put-in at the Shoshone boat ramp to experience the thrill of the Shoshone Rapids. During this 15 – 20 minutes period, the members of your groups that prefer the Mild & Scenic Half Day Raft Trip will shuttled downriver to Grizzly Creek where they can watch and await the arrival of the Half Day Adventures. Upon rejoining at Grizzly Creek, groups will be reunited and will continue downriver on the same boat(s) for the remaining 10 miles.

E-BIKE RENTAL & SHUTTLE
Our complimentary shuttle takes you 14 miles through the Glenwood Canyon and follows the beautiful Colorado River. This self guided ride allows you to ride back to Glenwood Springs at your own pace on a Rad Mission E-bike with ample opportunities for breaks and sightseeing. We recommend checking out one of several beautiful hiking trails tucked within the Glenwood Canyon Recreational Trail, including the famous Hanging Lake Trail (Please note that hiking permits are required for Hanging Lake and available for purchase by clicking here)
Or, when trail conditions dictate, we operate this shuttle on the Rio Grande Trail from Carbondale to Glenwood Springs. Along the way, explore multiple culinary hot spots or galleries on Carbondale’s Main Street or explore several of the valley’s popular brewery’s while following the picturesque Roaring Fork River.
